University Guardianship

For those international students wanting to study in a UK University, they may need more support than UK-based students. Students entering University under the age of 18 are still legally classified as children and as such, most UK Universities demand that international students obtain a UK Guardian that can act on their behalf in the event of an emergency.

University Guardianship services operate slightly differently to those for students studying in UK boarding schools. There are no parent’s evenings or half-terms that require host families and University students may not feel as though they need to see or communicate with their guardian on a regular basis. That said, having the right Guardianship support can maintain that feeling of independence with the support of knowing there is a point of contact available 24/7, to provide reassurance and guidance. Whether it’s a package that offers a high level of contact and support or simply to provide access to the essentials that will aid student life in a foreign country, we can tailor the University package to the needs of each student and their family specifically. It’s a comfort for parents to know and be assured that their child will have the support they need at any given moment during their UK Education experience.
